704-878-3493 Adorning a specially created wall in the Statesville Civic Center, the 21 feet tall, 19 feet wide fresco was crafted by world renowned artist Ben Long, a native of Statesville.
Statesville Train Depot
704-878-3436 The 1911 Statesville Train Depot currently houses the Land and Legends project featuring historical interpretation through art and exhibits by local and nationally recognized artists. The building also serves as the area Visitor Information Center.
Historic Districts
There are four residential historic districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places in addition to 47 buildings comprising the Downtown Commercial District. Walking tours can be arranged to view the diverse architectural styles of the restored homes and buildings located in the districts.
